ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: DESTINY AND STRATEGY EXPANSION PACK BUNDLE IS NOW AVAILABLE!

Hertfordshire, 29^th January 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Kou Shibusawa invite players on their most intense strategical session yet with the launch of ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle, now available on Windows PC via Steam®. To celebrate, a new trailer has been released, giving players a glimpse into the war tactics and politics that await them in the ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS series’ 40^th anniversary commemorative title.

ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle introduces a variety of brand-new features, including ‘Turning Points’ and ‘Gems’, which will allow players to enhance their strategies and influence the battlefield dramatically. Commands that can be executed without utilising ‘Gems’ have also been added, such as the ‘Abdicate’ command in Parliament, where players gain the ability to offer the position of Ruler to another officer. Alongside these new commands, further additions were made to the gameplay of chieftains of vagrant armies. When a player’s ‘Might’, which can be increased by employing prominent officers and defeating bandits in certain battles, reaches a certain level, the vagrant army exclusive ending will be unlocked.

Furthermore, players now have the ability to act separately and rely on their allies to protect different cities, instead of having to almost always act alongside synergetic officers within the same city as in previous titles of the ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS series. In addition, the Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle introduces the new ‘Save Troop Settings’ feature, allowing players to save and summon arbitrary forces while a number of other features have been streamlined such as raising children. Players can now easily check various officers and specialities thanks to the newly added Officer’s List and Speciality List.

To offer players a unique and limitless ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS experience, new fictional scenarios are now available as ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle features ‘what if’ scenarios that did not historically take place for players to enjoy. Within the ‘The Yuan House’s Influence’ scenario, fans can play through the ‘The powerful Yuan Shao’ fictional scenario wherein Yuan Shao defeats Cao Cao in the battle of Guandu. The series’ staple of Ancient Officers also appear, such as the first emperor of Qin Ying Zheng, famous overlord Xiang Yu (also known as Xiang Ji), and Mulan – the famous protagonist of movies and legends. These Ancient Officers will each have traits worthy of their renown, making them a powerful addition.

Players who purchase a digital edition of ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle up to the first two weeks after release will receive the “Loyal Han Retainer Ma Teng” scenario as an early purchase bonus.
